    Durham to Consett and Castleside

    • Road closure at Castledene Road affecting services V1, V2, X5 & school bus 826

      24th Mar 2025 - 6th Jun 2025

      Buses will be unable to operate via Castledene Road from first bus on Monday 24th March until further notice.  Services V1 & V2 will operate via Iveston Road and Delves Lane rather than Gloucester Road.  Service X5 will operate direct along Delves Lane.  School bus 826 will operate via Gloucester Road to Crookhall then return via Gloucester Road and direct via Delves Lane.  Buses will serve all stops on the diversionary routes.

  • Sunderland to Durham and Langley Park

    via East Herrington, Doxford International (peak time only), Houghton-le-Spring, Rainton Bridge, Belmont, Durham, University Hospital of North Durham, Framwellgate Moor, Pity Me, Arnison Centre, Sacriston and Witton Gilbert

  • Newcastle to Bishop Auckland and West Auckland

    via Gateshead, Low Fell, Chester-le-Street, Plawsworth, Pity Me, Framwellgate Moor, Durham, Croxdale, Tudhoe, Spennymoor, Middlestone Moor, Bishop Auckland and Tindale Crescent

  • Newcastle to Stanley

    via Dunston (X30/X31), Whickham (X30/X31), Gateshead (X32), Lobley Hill (X32), Sunniside and Shield Row (X30) or East Stanley (X31/X32). Some X32 peak journeys extend to/from Consett via Annfield Plain.
