Road closure at Millburngate Durham affecting services 16, 16A, 20, 20A, 65, X5 & X15

Buses will be unable to serve stops at Millburngate on weekdays from Friday 23rd August while the next phase of works begins.  Buses on Saturdays and Sundays will continue to operate their normal routes

Please catch your bus on Monday to Friday from the bus station.

Roadworks affecting service X78 at Kenton Bar

Due to roadworks at Kenton Bar, service X78 is currently diverted between Etal Lane roundabout and the Twin Farms. Please catch your bus from Ponteland Road.

Road closure at Peareth Hall Road affecting service 56

19th Aug 2024 - 13th Sep 2024

Buses on service 56 will be unable to serve Peareth Hall Road from Monday 19th August until Friday 13th September while Northumbrian Water construct a new reservoir.  Please catch your bus from High Usworth or Springwell Road.

Road closure at Lime Street affecting toontour

Buses on our award winning toontour will be unable to serve the stop at Lime Street (for Seven Stories) from Wednesday 14th August while Northern Powergrid carry out essential works.  Please use the stops at New Bridge Street or Ouseburn Valley for Seven Stories.

Road closure at Caroline Street, Hetton affecting services 35 & 35A

Buses on services 35 & 35A will be unable to serve stops at Caroline Street or Regent Street for around 5 weeks from Monday 22nd July.  Buses will access Hetton Downs via Houghton Road & Regent Street serving all stops on diversion.

Road closure at Fawcett Street affecting services 9, 24, 35, 35A, 56 & 939

Buses will be unable to serve Fawcett Street from first bust on Monday 9th September for approximately 2 weeks while Sunderland City Council carry out emergency works at the junction of Fawcett Street and High Street West.  Buses will operate via Borough Road and West Wear Street, serving bus stops on Borough Road.
