Road closure at Waldridge Park Estate affecting services 34 & 701

Buses will be diverted between 09:00 & 15:00 from Monday 28th September until Tuesday 6th October while Durham County Council carry out essential maintenance at Waldridge Park.
Service 701 will be unable to serve the bus stops at Fenton Close each day, please catch your bus in a safe place away from parked cars near the top of Chillingham Drive. Please give a clear signal so our driver knows to stop. Buses will operate via Embleton Drive and Waldridge Link Road but will not serve stops while on diversion.
Service 34 will only be diverted on Tuesday 29th, Wednesday 30th September and Sunday 4th October while the mini roundabout between Redesdale Road and Warkworth Drive is closed. Buses will operate normal route to Waldridge Park roundabout then divert via Waldridge Road, Serving all stops on diversion. Stops between Waldridge Park roundabout and West Lane Bridge will not be served.

Stanley Bus Station Refurbishment

From 7th April, Stanley Bus Station will be undergoing a major refurbishment. During this time, certain stands will be out of use and as such your bus may depart from a different stand from normal. Please refer to signage located within the station for more information.

Bus service diversions for Houghton Feast from Friday 2nd to Monday 5th October

Buses will be diverted in Houghton le Spring town centre over the weekend of Friday 2nd to Monday 5th October while the annual Houghton Feast takes place.
On Friday evening, between 16:30 & 22:30 Newbottle Street will be closed.
Buses will depart from the stops at Hillside Way near Lidl.
On Saturday, between 13:00 & 16:00 Newbottle Street, Station Road & Dairy Lane will be closed. In Houghton, buses will depart from Hillside Way, near Lidl. Additionally, some other services will be diverted as below.
Service 4 will operate non stop from Fencehouses Front Street to Houghton le Spring, stopping at Hillside Way near Lidl, then operate non stop back to Fencehouses. Stops along Dairy Lane in both directions will not be served.
Service X20 will operate non stop between Rainton Bridge and Houghton le Spring in both directions. Stops along Dairy Lane in both directions will not be served.
Service 32 will operate non stop between Hillside Way and Blind Lane, stops at Brinkburn Crescent will not be served.
On Monday between 15:30 & 20:30 Dairy Lane & Newbottle Street will be closed. In Houghton, buses will depart from Hillside Way, near Lidl. Additionally, some other services will be diverted as below.
Service 4 will operate non stop from Fencehouses Front Street to Houghton le Spring, stopping at Hillside Way near Lidl, then operate non stop back to Fencehouses. Stops along Dairy Lane in both directions will not be served.
Services X20 & 20A will operate non stop between Rainton Bridge and Houghton le Spring in both directions. Stops along Dairy Lane in both directions will not be served.
Bus Stand closure at Stanley bus station affecting services 6 & 8
As part of the ongoing works in Stanley Bus Station, there will be additional stand closures in place on Friday 2nd & Saturday 3rd October. Buses after 23:30 will use stand K.
Road closure at Campbell Park Road affecting services to Lukes Lane Estate

Service 26 will be unable to serve Lukes Lane Estate between 08:00 & 18:00 on Sundays 4th & 11th October while South Tyneside Council carry out essential maintenance on Campbell Park Road. Buses will terminate on Finchale Road at the stops near the Elmfeld Club, before turning and starting ontime from the same location.
Road closed at Norham Road affecting service 307

Buses on service 307 will be unable to serve stops on Verne Road and the section of Norham Road between Verne Road and Coast Road from 18:00 until end of service on Sundays 4th & 11th October.
Buses will operate via Billy Mill Avenue to the Coast Road and resume normal route at the Norham Road slip road. Buses will serve all stops while on the diversionary route.
Road closure at Dilston Cottages affecting service 689

Due to roadworks at Dilston Cottages, service 689 will be unable to serve stops between Hexham and Slaley on weekdays from Monday 5th October until Tuesday 20th October.
Road closure at Fallowfield Way affecting services 4 & X1B
Buses will be unable to serve stops on Fallowfield Way between Worm Hill Terrace and Biddick Lane on Tuesday 6th and Wednesday 7th October between 08:00 & 18:00 while Sunderland City Council carry out essential maintenance.
Buses on services 4 & X1B will use via Worm Hill Terrace and serve the southern end of Fallowfield Way and Biddick Lane in both directions..
Road closure at Downhill Lane affecting service 50

Buses on service 50 will be unable to serve stops on Downhill Lane between Newcastle Road and Washington Road from 08:00 - 17:00 on Monday 2nd & Tuesday 3rd November while South Tyneside Council carry out essential safety works. Buses will divert via Newcastle Road and the A19 serving all stops on the diversionary route.
