Go North East partners up with Quorum Park to provide sustainable transport solution

Go North East, the region’s largest bus company, has partnered up with Quorum Park this week to join the ‘Q Express’ scheme, which enables members of the park community to travel between Four Lane Ends and Quorum Park for free.
The news comes after Arriva announced plans to stop running some of the services that they operated in Newcastle and North Tyneside, and Go North East stepped in to partially replace these services.
Go North East’s 335 between Killingworth and Hadrian Park, 352 between Newcastle and Cramlington, and 354 between Newcastle and North Shields, all serve Quorum Park.
The new services each run every hour, and join to provide a bus up to every 30 minutes, Monday to Saturday daytimes, between Quorum and Four Lane Ends.
Laura McGrath, Quorum Park’s Sustainability and Community Director said: “More than 150 buses visit Quorum Park every day, with journeys to Four Lane Ends taking place every 10 minutes. And with the Quorum App, travellers ride for free between the park and Four Lane Ends Metro station, saving them valuable money as well as linking them by Metro and bus to the whole of the North East region.
“We are equally well-served by routes towards Newcastle city centre, which visit us every 15 minutes, and members of the Quorum Park community are entitled to a host of discount travel fares, including flexible tickets designed to support hybrid workers.
“We pride ourselves on the great relationships we have throughout the region’s transport network that mean members of our community can be confident in frequent, reliable, hassle-free and environmentally-friendly options getting them to and from the office.”
Dan Graham, commercial development manager at Go North East, added: "We are delighted that from Sunday, September 3rd, we have replaced the services that Arriva is no longer able to provide.
