Temporary Tyne Bridge closure

Yesterday Wed 7th Oct 2026

The Tyne Bridge will be fully closed to traffic in both directions between Friday 23 October and Monday 2 November. We are working hard with partners at Nexus and the local authorities to assess the impact this will have on our services, and what amendments will be required to our operations during the closure.

We will update this page once we have more information to share.
