Newcastle/ Gateshead Quayside
Take a stroll down the iconic Newcastle and Gateshead Quayside, home to the landmark Gateshead Millenium Bridge and Tyne Bridge. Once a commercial dock, the area is now a nightlife hotspot with stylish bars and restaurants. On Sundays, Quayside Market sells local produce, crafts and street food.
You will also find the BALTIC art gallery and The Glasshouse music and event venue.
Ouseburn Valley
Ouseburn is Newcastle's bohemian cultural quarter and the perfect spot for a vibrant date night. Start with a meal at Cook House or the cosy, highly-praised, industrial-chic Kiln café and pottery studio. Afterwards, grab drinks with iconic river views at The Free Trade Inn or enjoy free live music at The Tyne Bar. Visit Sunderland's Empire Theatre

Visit Durham Cathedral and take a romantic riverside stroll
Take a quiet stroll through Durham Cathedral grounds and explore the Cloisters and the Chapter House, famously used as McGonagall’s Transfiguration classroom in the early Harry Potter films.
