From 1 September 2024, stops within the Great Park estate (west of the A1) will no longer be served by Go North East; Stagecoach is taking over alternative services within this part of Great Park from Sunday 1 September 2024.

Our Q3 QuayCity service will be amended to operate between Wallsend, Quayside, Newcastle City Centre, Jesmond, Regent Centre, Gosforth, Brunton Park and part of Great Park east of the A1. The revised route will continue to provide frequent services to the Warkworth Woods part of Great Park, as well as introducing new links to Brunton Park and Polwarth Drive. Nexus are funding some evening journeys on the Q3 between St. Peter’s Basin and Brunton Park so that the service will continue to operate early until late, seven days a week.

Service Q3 will continue to be the only direct bus link to Quayside from the North of the city and passengers can still travel to Regent Centre (for onward bus and metro connections) as well as Osborne Road in Jesmond on most journeys.

At peak times, a new Q3X service will operate directly via Great North Road, improving journey times for commuters.
