Improving your network

From 21 July, there will be some improvements to our services to make them more frequent and more convenient for you, during the day from Monday to Saturday.

• Burnopfield - Twice as many buses to Newcastle per hour.

• Dipton - Twice as many buses to Newcastle per hour. New direct buses to Metrocentre from Annfield Plain and Dipton.

• Stanley - Now three buses an hour to Newcastle. Faster buses to Team Valley and Gateshead.

• Sunniside - Now five fast buses an hour to Newcastle.

• Leadgate - Twice as many fast buses to Newcastle per hour.

• Whickham - The new X73: an hourly express service from Fellside Road to Newcastle. Now three fast buses an hour from Whaggs Lane and Front Street to Newcastle.

• Consett - Between the X45, X70 and X71, there will be up to four fast buses every hour between Consett and Newcastle – two via the Metrocentre, and two via Sunniside.
