Go Big on the 12 August and see the partial solar eclipse.

If you want to Go Big, head out and see the partial solar eclipse on August 12. Such deep partial solar eclipses visible in the UK are rare, happening roughly every few decades, with the last comparable major coverage occurring in 1999 and 2015. The eclipse runs from about 18:00 to 20:00, with maximum at around 19:07 and you can view this from many open spaces in the region.
