For great value travel throughout the region, you can’t beat Explorer North East! It’s one of the most extensive schemes in the country, allowing you to use buses across the whole region, and beyond, as well as the Tyne & Wear Metro and Shields Ferry. Travel from as far north as Berwick-upon-Tweed, all the way down to Richmond or Scarborough in North Yorkshire, or west to Carlisle in Cumberland.

If you're travelling just within Tyne & Wear, County Durham and Northumberland, then a TNE Day Saver - priced at only £7.50 a day - can offer even better value-for-money! And, if you're under 22 years of age, you can get the same ticket for just £3 day.
Some bus services cannot be used with Explorer or TNE Day Saver tickets, including: Toon Tour, 327 (DFDS Port of Tyne shuttle), SoccerBus X50, pre-bookable tour services, special events services, Moorsbus services, National Express or Flixbus coach services, and any buses operated by East Yorkshire.
