If you're making a one-off journey or making two journeys between the same places, we have adult single and return fares available to buy on the bus from the driver.
If you're aged 21 and under, we have a great value £1.00 single fare on the majority of services – ID required for anyone aged 16 and over, or anyone who looks older.
If you're making three or more journeys in a day then a day ticket offers great value-for-money - prices start from £4.30. If you need to use different bus operators or the Metro or Ferry, then a Day Rover or Day Saver ticket will best meet your needs.
If you're travelling regularly then a 7-day, 28-day or Flexi-5 ticket will best suit your needs. We offer a wide range of tickets that cover different parts of our network, with prices starting from just £15.50 for a week's travel.
Young People's tickets
Go North East's 5-25 range of tickets can be used on on most Go North East buses across the whole region by anyone aged 25 and under. If you're aged 21 and under, you can buy TNE's £1 single fare or £3 day ticket on our app. The £1 single can be used for any single journey on Go North East buses in Tyne & Wear, County Durham and Northumberland - the £3 day ticket allows unlimited travel in the same areas on all operators' local bus service, and can also be used on the Metro and Shields Ferry.

Adult Single & Day Tickets
Buy individual £2.50 singles (or bundles of 5 or 10 tickets) to use on most Go North East buses. A day ticket will offer great value-for-money if you're making three or more journeys in a day. Day Rover and Day Saver tickets allow travel on all operators' buses in the specified area, and also allow travel on the Metro and Shields Ferry if valid in Tyne & Wear. Other, cheaper day tickets are available that can be used only on Go North East buses.

Explorer North East is a 1-day ticket that lets you enjoy unlimited travel across the whole region, including Tyne and Wear, Northumberland, County Durham, Teesside, and parts of Cumbria and North Yorkshire. Valid as far as Berwick-upon-Tweed in the North, Carlisle in the west, and Scarborough in the south. Valid on bus, Metro, Ferry and the Sunderland-Blaydon rail line. Not valid on any other rail services, or on the 327, X50 or the Toon Tour, or between Chollerford & Haltwhistle on AD122.
