Diversions are in place on the 50 because of a failure at a level crossing. Boldon Crossing is closed from 00:05 until 04:00 meaning the 50 due at Asda Boldon at 00:14 will divert via Cleadon and Tileshed Lane missing out stops at Galsworthy Rd and Benton Rd.
Concord Bus Station closure
***UPDATE 15/09/2026 - Concord Bus Station has reopened ahead of schedule and buses have returned to normal route in the area***
Due to resurfacing works Concord Bus Station will be closed from start of service on Monday 24th August for approximately 4 weeks. During this time temporary stops will be located as follows.
Heworth Rd - 4 (towards Houghton), 56 (towards Sunderland), 85A (towards Oxclose)
Victoria Rd - 50 (towards Durham)
Vermont - 56 (towards Newcastle)
Boyne Terrace - 84/85 (all directions), 4 (towards Heworth), 50 (towards South Shields)
Temporary stop location at Station Road, Hetton le Hole
Following an accident at Hetton le Hole, the bus stop for services towards Hetton Interchange has been removed and replaced with a temporary stop.
Please use the temporary stop until further notice.
