Road closure at Station Lane, Birtley affecting services 28 & 82
Buses on services 28 & 82 will be diverted on the weekends of Saturday & Sunday 11th & 12th and Saturday & Sunday 18th & 19th July between 08:00 & 16:00 while Gateshead Council carry out essential work.
Service 28 will operate between Ouston and Birtley via Greenford Lane, Moormill Lane & Lamesley Road. Stops on Station Lane and Durham Road between Station Lane and Newcastle Bank. Customers travelling to and from Station Lane or Durham Road should use service 21 from Durham Road to Newcastle Bank and change services there Buses on service 28 towards Chester le Street will stop short of the stop at Coach and Horses before turning right onto Lamesley Road.
Service 82 will be unable to serve Station Lane or the southern part of Ravensworth Road and will divert via Edward Road.
Buses will observe all stops on the diversionary route.
Traffic congestion in Newcastle City Centre affecting services 27 & 56
Due to increased traffic in Newcastle City Centre, services 27 & 56 are terminating at Gateshead Interchange to reduce the amount of traffic in the City Centre. From Gateshead you can change to any other service travelling to Newcastle, from Newcastle, use services 57 or 58 from Market Street and change at Gateshead.
Incident affecting services on Wealcroft
Due to an RTC on Wealcroft, services are unable to serve stops between Staneway and Fewster Sq. Please catch Service 51 and 52 at Fewster Sq or Aycriffe Drive and services 58, 58A and 57 from Fewster Sq or Woodburn
