  • Changes to bus stops in Newcastle during the closure of Pilgrim Street

    As part of the ongoing development of Pilgrim's Quarter, Pilgrim Street will be closed to all traffic from Monday 16th May until Sunday 3rd July.  As a result some services will be diverted and others will depart from different stands to accommodate services displaced from Pilgrim Street. 

    Coaster 1 towards Whitley Bay will operate from Gateshead to Newcastle via Redheugh Bridge and serve bus stops at Clayton Street, Grainger Street and Market Street West.

    VOLTRA 53 & Quaycity Q3 towards St Peters will move from Market Street West to a new stop near the Theatre Royal.

    Quaycity Q3 towards Great Park will move from Pilgrim Street near Virgin Money to a new stop on Pilgrim Street outside Hoochie Coochie.

    Green Arrow 97 will operate via Market Street East and serve the bus stop near the junction with Pilgrim Street and the bus stop near Start Cycles.
