Service changes from Sunday 23 July

From Sunday 23 July, we will introduce some service changes in East Gateshead and Sunderland.
These changes are summarised below:
Sunderland District Graphite services 39A & 39B
We are delighted to reintroduce a 15 minute frequency between Sunderland and Doxford Park on services 39, 39A and 39B. These services will be revised to offer a better level of service around Sunderland as a whole.
Service 39 will now operate between Sunderland, Grangetown, Ryhope,
Doxford International, Biddick Woods and Washington. Service 39 will
serve the northern side of Moorside Road every 30 minutes.
Service 39A will operate between Pennywell, Sunderland, Grangetown, Ryhope, Moorside, Doxford International and Houghton-le-Spring. Service 39A will serve the southern side of Moorside Road, along with service 39B, creating a
combined 30 minute service in the area.
Service 39B will operate between Pennywell, Sunderland, Grangetown, Ryhope, Moorside and Doxford International. Service 39B will serve the southern side of Moorside Road, along with service 39A, creating a combined 30 minute service in the area.
East Gateshead Orbit 51 & 52
Reliability on these services over recent months hasn’t been what we’d like it to be. The frequency of these services will now be every 20 minutes - now with better co-ordination with East Gateshead Loop 93/94 services between Heworth and Windy Nook, providing a combined bus every 10 minutes.
East Gateshead Rider 58
To better match passenger demand, this service will no longer serve Follingsby Amazon other than at shift change times and on Sundays. Connections are still available at Heworth for Connections 4 to Follingsby Amazon.
East Gateshead Loop 93 & 94
Minor timetable changes on these services, which will provide a more reliable service, along with a better combined service between Gateshead and Team Valley North, and between Heworth and Windy Nook.
Service 99
We are pleased to announce that we will now be running the 99 service between Hylton Castle and Grangetown. Our usual range of Go North East tickets are available to buy and use on this service.
Service 939
We are pleased to announce that we will now be running the 939 service between Sunderland and Team Valley. Our usual range of Go North East tickets are available to buy and use on this service.
X-lines X21
We are pleased to be introducing a revised timetable to improve the reliability of this service. The service will no longer serve Woodhouse Close, however this will result in faster journeys between West Auckland, Tindale Crescent, Bishop Auckland and Durham.
QuayCity Q3
To help workers get home from the new Morrisons store in Great Park, the 2150 journey from Great Park to St Peter’s Basin will run 15 minutes later throughout.
