Service changes from Sunday 29 January

From Sunday 29 January, we will introduce some service changes in the Consett and Western Gateshead areas, in order to improve reliability.

These changes are summarised below:

 

Tyne Valley 10 | 10A | 10B

 

Service 12

  • Daytime journeys will now operate a one-way loop of Heddon View in Winlaton, meaning all journeys will now follow a standard route in this area. As such, a revised timetable will come into effect

Durham Diamond 16 | 16A | 16B

  • This service will no longer operate to Hownsgill Industrial Estate, and will instead extend from Consett Bus Station to Shotley Bridge Hospital via Park Road, to replace service 47 which will be curtailed at Consett Bus Station to aid reliability.

Red Kite Ranger 47

  • To improve reliability, this service will no longer run from Consett Bus Station to Shotley Bridge Hospital, allowing increased layover times to ensure punctual departures from Consett.
  • Customers travelling between Consett Bus Station and Shotley Bridge Hospital can instead make this journey using Durham Diamond services 16/16A/16B.

  • Customers travelling between Consett Bus Station, Templetown and Hownsgill Industrial Estate can instead make this journey using Venture service V5.
