Service changes from Sunday 24 March 2024
We are pleased to announce that in partnership with Northumberland County Council, with financial support from the Government’s Bus Service Improvement Plan, service 684 will now run on Sundays and service AD122 will additionally serve Humshaugh on Sundays. We will also be implementing some minor timetable changes to improve reliability to several services across the region.

Service 317
- We are delighted to announce that we have been awarded the contract to operate service 317 between Wallsend and Whitley Bay under contract to Nexus. The full range of Go North East tickets will be valid on this service, along with Transport North East’s Day Rovers. Unfortunately, Stagecoach Dayriders and Megariders will not be valid on this service.

North Tyne Rockets 335/351/359
- Unfortunately, due to Nexus contract changes, these services will no longer be provided by Go North East. From 24 March 2024, Go North East specific tickets will not be valid on these services, however the usual range of Transport North East day tickets will be valid. - In partnership with Northumberland County Council, we are pleased to announce that this service will now operate via Humshaugh on Sundays, providing the village with a 7-day bus service link to Hexham.

Service X78
- Following a tender process by Nexus, we have been awarded a contract to operate service X78 on evenings between Newcastle and Darras Hall. Stagecoach will continue to operate the service during the day, with Stagecoach Dayrider and Megarider tickets being accepted on our evening service.

Newcastle Park & Ride - From early April
In partnership with Gateshead Council, Metrocentre, Newcastle City Council and Nexus, we will be providing a park and ride service from the Metrocentre Coach Park. Services 6, 10, 10A, 10B, 47, X45 and X66 will all serve the stop in the Coach Park Monday to Friday until 10am. At other times, park and ride users should cross the bridge, and board their bus from the Metrocentre interchange. When heading back from Newcastle, park and ride users should get off the bus at the Interchange and walk across the bridge to get back to the Park and Ride car park.
