Changes to ticket acceptance

From Sunday 22 March 2026, there will be changes to ticket acceptance and timetables on our 307 and 309 services along the Coast Road.

Changes to ticket acceptance
Currently, tickets purchased on Arriva services 306 and 308 are also accepted on Go North East services 307 and 309. From 22 March 2026, Arriva tickets will no longer be valid on Go North East services 307 and 309.

Timetable changes
Updated timetables for services 307 and 309 will also be introduced from this date, with a focus on improving reliability and punctuality. Buses will continue to operate up to every 10 minutes along the Coast Road corridor.

Which ticket options are available for bus travel on the Coast Road?
We offer a range of tickets providing great value for travel in the area, including:

• Adult single tickets capped at £2.50
• Newcastle & North Tyne 1 Day tickets – £5.90, valid on most Go North East buses in Newcastle, North Tyneside, Blyth and Cramlington

If you wish to travel with different operators on the same day, the TNE Day ticket is available for £7.50.
