Road closures for the Great North Run affecting bus services

The Great North Run returns to its traditional route between Newcastle and South Shields following a 2 year break.
As a result there will be a number of road closures in place which will cause disruption to bus services. These diversions are expected to be in place from the start of service on Sunday until approximately 18:00, although may resume operation earlier if roads re-open earlier than scheduled.
If your service isn't mentioned below, it will operate to its normal route and timetable.
Toon Tour will not operate on Great North Run weekend
Services between Gateshead & Newcastle
Services operating to Eldon Square are unable to use Tyne Bridge and will not serve stops at John Dobson Street or St Mary's Place
Services operating to Market Street are unable to use Tyne Bridge and will not serve stops at Worswick Street
VOLTRA service 53 will not serve stops at Market Street West, Grey Street or Newcastle & Gateshead Quays. Buses will divert from Central Station to Gateshead Interchange stopping at Newgate Street (Wilkinsons), St Nicholas Street and Wellington Street.
VOLTRA service 54 will not serve stops at Gateshead & Newcastle Quays , Pilgrim Street or Market Street West and will start service from The Slug & Lettuce on Grainger Street.
Other service diversions
Service 4 - This service will be unable to serve normal route on the Felling by pass and will operate via Meresyde, Grange Crescent, High Lanes and High Heworth Lane serving all stops on diversion.
Service 5 / 5A - These services will only operate between Jarrow and Whiteleas Shops
Service 24 - This service will only operate between Sunderland and Harton Nook
Service 26 - This service will only operate between Lukes Lane Estate and Kirkstone Avenue
Service 27 - This service will operate between Newcastle and South Shields. In Newcastle buses will not set down at the Tyne Bridge sliproad or Worswick Street but will operate from Market Street. You will need to change buses at Heworth (walking under the underpass) and at South Shields buses will not stop at Fowler Street or the Interchange but will operate from Coronation Street (ASDA) instead.
Service 50 - This service will only operate between Durham and Whiteleas Way
Service 57 - At Wardley, this service will be unable to serve stops at Lingey Lane, Leam Lane & Sunderland Road (east of White Mere Gardens).
Service 58 - This service will be unable to serve normal route on the Felling by pass and will operate via Meresyde, Grange Crescent, High Lanes and High Heworth Lane serving all stops on diversion.
Services 93 & 94 - Between Gateshead and Heworth, these services will operate via Gateshead High Street and Sunderland Road service all stops on diversion.
Xlines service X10 will be unable to serve stops at Testos roundabout in both directions. Please catch your bus from Heworth Interchange. -
