  • Road closure at Peareth Hall Road affecting services 56 & 85A

    Today 08:00 - 15th Sep 2026

    Buses on services 56 & 85A will be unable to serve stops at Peareth Hall Road and Stoney Lane between 08:00 & 18:00 on Monday 14th & Tuesday 15th September while Sunderland City Council carry out essential maintenance.

    Buses will divert non stop via Donvale Road, Parsons & Springwell Road, following the X1 route through the village. Buses will serve all stop on the diversion in Springwell Village.

  • Concord Bus Station closure

    24th Aug 2026 - 18th Sep 2026

    Due to resurfacing works Concord Bus Station will be closed from start of service on Monday 24th August for approximately 4 weeks. During this time temporary stops will be located as follows.

    Heworth Rd - 4 (towards Houghton), 56 (towards Sunderland), 85A (towards Oxclose)

    Victoria Rd - 50 (towards Durham)

    Vermont - 56 (towards Newcastle)

    Boyne Terrace - 84/85 (all directions), 4 (towards Heworth), 50 (towards South Shields)
