Road closure at Askew Road affecting services 49, 49A, 301 & 301A
1st - 6th Jun 2026
Askew Road is closed from 20:00 until 06:00 the following morning on the evenings of Monday 1st to Friday 5th June. Services 49, 49A & 301 will be unable to serve the stop at Askew Road, while services 49 & 49A additionally will omit the stop at Cuthbert Street. Please catch service 301 from Gateshead Interchange and services 49 & 49A from Gateshead Interchange or School Street.

Road closure at Benfield Road affecting service 301

Buses on service 301 will be unable to serve Appletree Gardens on journeys towards Whitley Bay on Sundays from Sunday 7th May until Sunday 21st June inclusive. Buses will operate via Shields Road serving stops on diversion.
