Master Technicians

Across Go North East we operate over 600 vehicles daily, connecting passengers across the region, with engineers playing a fundamental role in ensuring these vehicles are fit for operation.

The successful candidate will play a key role within the engineering team to ensure our buses are maintained and repaired daily to the highest standards, so they remain safe and reliable at all times. The right candidate will be competent in diagnosis and repair of both mechanical and in some cases electrical faults on our fleet of vehicles. With vehicles from a host of manufacturers, ranging from Volvo, ADL, Wrightbus, Scania and more, you will be comfortable in a range of manufacturer specific systems.

This is a shift-based role, with shifts allocated 5 days over 7. Full details of shifts will be discussed at interview.

A PCV licence is preferred but not essential as training will be given to those without.

NVQ Level 2 is required as a minimum, in a relevant subject, as is the willingness to work towards a Level 3. Preference will be shown around candidates able to demonstrate relevant previous experience.
