Master Technicians

We are looking for two Master Technicians to lead a small team of engineers at our major works centre.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of workshop staff, ensuring effective allocation of tasks.
  • Carry out diagnostic, repair, and preventative maintenance on all PSV vehicles to DVSA standards.
  • Support the business in maintaining fleet availability and reliability targets.
  • Ensure all maintenance records, defect reports, and inspection documentation are accurately completed and stored.
  • Oversee vehicle inspections, servicing, MOT preparations, and road testing as required.
  • Lead by example in promoting safe working practices and adherence to health and safety regulations.
  • Monitor workshop performance and report any operational or staffing issues to management.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and cost control within the engineering function.

Required:

  • 5 years of recent engineering experience essential (preferably on PCV or HGV vehicles)
  • NVQ Level 3 in relevant engineering trade essential
  • Previous supervisory or team lead experience is desirable but not essential
  • Possession of a Full Manual car licence is essential
  • Possession of a PCV licence (or willing to work towards one).

Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 38 hours per week, alternating weeks of dayshift and backshift. Overtime may be required to meet company requirements.
