Step right up for Escape from the Keep! A spectacular day of mystery, magic, and daring escapes at Newcastle Castle as part of their Carnival at the Castle celebrations!
Join the incredible United Kingdom Escape Artists as they bring the Castle to life with jaw-dropping escapes, fascinating tales from the history of escapology, and close-up magic that will leave you amazed. Wander through the Castle grounds and experience a thrilling mix of illusion, suspense, and carnival fun for all ages.
This very special event also marks the 100th anniversary of the death of the legendary Harry Houdini, celebrating the life and legacy of the world’s most famous escape artist. Houdini himself once performed at the Castle Keep, famously hanging from the rooftop to promote one of his sensational shows — and now that spirit of danger and wonder returns once again!
Don’t miss the breathtaking Grand Finale at 3pm, when the world-renowned Chris Cross attempts his dramatic upside-down straitjacket escape suspended from the very top of the Castle Keep!
Expect excitement, spectacle, history, and a little bit of magic around every corner at this unforgettable carnival celebration.
