Durham
There's plenty of Halloween events taking place in Durham over the half-term that will keep the whole family entertained.
Halloween After Dark promises an eerie excitement while travelling on an adventure through the spooky Plotters Forest, inviting brave souls to uncover the forest's many mysteries.
Bring the whole family and venture into the shadows as you enter the enchanting 'Halloween After Dark', opening Halloween night.
Beamish
This October half-term (28th October - 1st November), sees the return of Beamish's spine-tingling experience, transforming the museum into the 'Un-living Town of North'.
Its cobbled Edwardian street is home to more than just their townsfolk at Halloween, meet the newest inhabitants and enjoy some enthralling fun across the museum.
To get to Beamish Museum, you can either get the 28, 29 or Country Ranger 8 service. Remember, kids 5 and under go free, for those 21 and under it's £1 for a single ticket, and if you're over 21 it's only £2 for a single ticket.
That's not all - If you travel with Go North East to get to Beamish, you can also save 25% on a standard individual Beamish Unlimited Pass!
Newcastle
Hexham is home to one of the North East's most renowned pumpkin patches at Brocksbushes Farm. Open daily from the 18th of October onwards, you will have the chance to pick your own pumpkins that come in all different shapes and sizes, as well as trying the funfair rides!
Lintz Hall Farm promises to provide the ultimate Halloween scare-fest in this year's Family Fright Festival! Teaming up with Hits Radio, this event is a fun day out for he whole family with something for everyone.

From the 28th - 31st October, the spooky Halloween walk at Tynemouth Priory is the perfect outdoor family event. Join ghost-hunting storytellers on a family-friendly walk through the shadows of the historic grounds.
Catch our Coaster 1 service to Tynemouth Seafront and enjoy a spell-binding excursion at Priory Castle.
Sunderland
The Sunderland Spooktacular festival is back this Halloween at Barnes Park with fireworks, live entertainment, hot food, rides and more!
