Closure of Market Street East in Newcastle from 8 August

The ongoing development works on Pilgrim Street are due to reach their next phase, which will see Market Street East temporarily close in both directions from Monday 8 August. Services 27, 51, 56, 57, 58, 97 and N21 will stop on Worswick Street (only to drop passengers off) in place of of Market Street East, before doing a loop via John Dobson Street, New Bridge Street West and Pilgrim Street to serve bus stops on Market Street. Quaycity QA and QB journeys heading towards Great Park will revert to serving Pilgrim Street. You can view a bus stop map by clicking on the title of this update. Chester-le-Street depot update

11th - 12th Aug

We can confirm that the potential industrial action planned for 12 August that may have affected our routes operating from Chester-le-Street depot has now been called off, following the acceptance of our revised colleague offer. All services will now continue to operate as normal.
