New Elvet Bridge in Durham will be closed from Monday 20 July 2020 for 14 months. During this time, Cathderal Bus 40B and indiGo service 59 will be diverted while Durham County Council carry out major works on New Elvet Bridge. Buses will not serve bus stops between the bus station and the Whitechurch public house (New Inn). Buses will stop at the bus stops near to the Whitechurch public house and Bow Durham School

From Monday 15 February, Durham Bus Station will be closed to allow demolition and redevelopment work to begin, which is expected to last until Autumn 2022. Whilst the bus station is closed, a range of new bus stops will be introduced on North Road and at Millburngate.
