Changes to bus stops in North Shields from 28 February

From Monday 28 February, some bus stops in North Shields will change to allow for the next phase of the Interchange construction. Service 11 towards Wallsend will serve Bedford Street Stand B. Service 19 towards Ferry on an evening and Sunday will serve Bedford Street Stand B. Service 19 towards Northumberland Park/Ashington will serve a new temporary stop on Railway Terrace between Borough Road and Rudyerd Street. Service 310 towards Newcastle will serve a new temporary stop on Railway Terrace between Borough Road and Rudyerd Street.

From Sunday 27 March, we will be making changes to services in the Newcastle and North Tyneside areas. The number of people returning to places of work and needing to travel has and continues to change because of the pandemic, affecting both the demand for our services, and where and when we see congestion on our road network. We will be implementing some service changes to better match service capacity to long-term demand expectations. Some services are also revised following changes to Nexus contracts.
