Job Description:
Working directly for the FP&A Manager, you will provide support in the timely production of monthly management accounts to the highest standard. You must work proactively in a fast-paced environment, partnering with stakeholders both within the finance team and across the wider business.
You’ll be the owner and key contact to the business for various processes that will directly impact the management accounts. As part of your role, you’ll be seeking to challenge the status quo by improving processes through automation and standardisation, with the ultimate goal of increasing the quality of information available to management and driving efficiency.
This is a key role within the finance team, and a great opportunity for the candidate to add value to the business.
Key Accountabilities:
- Develop and improve the management information processes and outputs to support the FP&A Manager in the production of timely and insightful management information.
- Preparation and posting of journals in line with local and group deadlines.
- Work closely with the Financial Controller and Finance Operations Manager to deliver high quality financial reporting including balance sheet ownership.
- Support and liaise with the Financial Controller and Finance Operations Manager regarding internal controls and best practice for the business to maintain internal and external audit standards and integrity of all financial reporting.
- Support the development of cost centre reporting to help drive greater insights in cost drivers and stronger budget ownership across the cost centre managers.
- Preparations of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Act as the key contact for P&L queries from Senior Management and Cost Centre Managers.
- Support the FP&A Manager to deliver FP&A and business partnering support to Commercial, Operations and Engineering teams.
- Contribute to the financial reporting cycles such as monthly management reporting, quarterly forecasts, and annual corporate planning cycles.
- Lead and contribute towards projects related to Finance.
- Prepare and submit financial and non-financial data to external stakeholders.
- Use personal data in compliance with company data protection policies, procedures and data protection law. Ensure immediate reporting of any data protection concerns or queries (including possible data breaches) to their Data Champion or Line Manager.
- Ensure compliance with all policies and practices relating to health, safety, environment, and quality that are applicable to the job role.
Key Relationships:
- Actively pursue strong and regular communication with other internal functions when required.
- Build and manage an effective relationship with cost centre managers and other key stakeholders.
- Support the FP&A Manager in delivering on month end and forecast commitments to senior management.
