Engineering Supervisor

 

Grade: To be discussed at interview

 

Responsibilities:


• The successful applicant will be responsible to both the Area & Fleet Engineers for providing leadership within the Engineering Department and for the maintenance and presentation of the fleet of buses to both the Company’s and the Department of Transport’s exacting standards.


• Applicants should have a proven track record of supervisory management and staff motivation and a customer caring attitude to problem solving. Given the wide range of the role you must be able to demonstrate excellent prioritising skills, as well as decision making and organisational abilities. Ideally you will hold a relevant professional qualification, although consideration will be given to skilled vehicle technicians.


• A flexible approach to working times and shift patterns is required to reflect the varying needs of this challenging role.


Required:


• 5 years of recent engineering experience essential (preferably on PCV or HGV vehicles).


• NVQ Level 3 in relevant engineering trade essential.


• Possession of a Full Manual car licence is essential, and a PCV licence is preferred.


• Previous supervisory experience will be beneficial.
