23rd - 27th July
Durham Fringe Festival is back – and bigger than ever!
From 23 - 27 July 2025, Durham City Centre will come alive with a jam-packed programme of theatre, music, comedy, magic, circus, cabaret and more. With over 270 performances from 110+ acts across nine fantastic venues, there’s something for everyone, whether you’re into toe-tapping tunes, side-splitting stand-up or mesmerising magic.
Take your pick from a huge mix of shows
Catch incredible homegrown talent like Durham magician Tom Bolton, or rising star Isabel Maria – BBC Introducing’s ‘One to Watch for 2025’. Comedy fans are spoiled with 19 stand-up acts, including Edinburgh Fringe favourites and Britain’s Got Talent's Cal Halbert. Fancy something a little different? There’s physical theatre, spoken word, Shakespeare with a twist, and brilliant original productions from new theatre companies.
Perfect for families, too!
There are over 40 family-friendly shows and a dedicated children’s line-up, plus special family tickets from just £24. Family groups can be made up of two adults and two under 16s, or one adult and three under 16s. It’s an affordable day out with a difference, and little ones will love the buzzing festival vibe.
