A worker bee with a difference is looking for a new home now that his days spent buzzing around some of the region’s best-known places have come to an end.
A group of Go North East bus drivers will be presented with silver medals at 11.30am on Thursday, September 4 at the bus company’s Stanley depot in High Street, Stanley for their champion fundraising efforts on behalf of national charity, Hearing Dogs for Deaf People.

Go North East continues to offer passengers the chance to have their say on the company’s bus services with the latest monthly live web chat session due to take place on Thursday, August 28.
Go North East is asking its passengers to cast their votes for bus drivers they have found to be exceptional in their customer service as the search begins for this year’s Bus Driver of The Year.

On Friday, August 15 between 10am and 3pm, Gateshead-born author and illustrator, Jules Burnett will be travelling on Go North East’s Red Kite buses to entertain the young and young-at heart with readings from his award-winning children’s book, ‘Let’s go flying, kites’.
